GREAT FOR SORE THROATS!,We got these from Miles Kimball when I was a kid and we always had a couple in the freezer. They’re great for when you’re sick! Great with soda pop or lemonade. Not good with diet drinks, though. (I think the process requires sugar.)

Thank you Loonstra’s :),My best friends had these growing up and I would always enjoy using them on hot days. My favorite was chocolate milk slushies. Looked like dog food, but so yummy!! Sitting with them and scraping the sides with the spoon and working up the slush was cool. I was thinking of them today and with the Internet found them back. So looking forward to a cool blast from the past!!!

Slush mugs – as much fun as when I was younger,I was so glad to find out that slush mugs are still being made! They were VERY popular with all my children all the years they were growing up! Two of my sons in their 50s still have theirs!
The mug only needs to be in the freezer for a few hours before it is ready to use. Leaving it in longer accomplishes nothing. Once the liquid in it is frozen, that is all that is necessary. It cannot get more frozen than frozen!
The mug is not suitable for diet drinks, but all sorts of other beverages work. My favorite is root beer. Years ago my children favored Kool Aid.
Tip: Chill ahead of time whatever you are going to get slushy. It greatly reduces the time you have to wait before you can start eating the slush! Stir the slush as it forms!
