5.0 out of 5 stars Can’t live without it!

I’ve been a Palm user for years – this is my third Palm model of PDA. I store everything in there, especially with the SD expansion slot (If they upgraded to a high-capacity SD slot, I’d be even happier). I watch movies and tv shows, listen to music at work, and play games and use memo apps while on the bus or train. With the wi-fi I can check schedules and my email downtown while waiting for said transportation. Best investment I’ve ever made. I like the screen size better than most new smartphones, and the fact that one can use a stylus, pen, or fingernail to tap the screen rather than needing actual skin contact makes typing in characters on the keyboard much more efficient. I plan on keeping a TX for a long time, and then buying another!

5.0 out of 5 stars World traveler and still running after five years

I bought my Palm TX shortly after it came out in 2005. It has been a trusty companion worldwide, from Phnom Penh, Cambodia to Dayton, Ohio. I’ve used it for an ebook. I read Moby Dick, the Sea Wolf and Roughing It without having to lug the books with me around Southeast Asia. I watched a couple feature-length movies, but wouldn’t want to make a habit of it. It makes a fine travel alarm clock. It even made a decent flashlight when the power went out in Vientiane. The wifi worked fine for checking email and football scores at local coffee shops.

It has had its quirks. The power switch wore out after about four years, but I found a way to use one of the four programmable buttons as a power switch. I kept thousands of image files on it, and it took forever to sync them with my computer, not to mention numerous system crashes. I solved this problem with a little $10 program, Card Reader, that let’s the Palm become an external flash drive. Now I just copy the images as if it was a usb drive. No more problems.

I guess I’ve had this thing now for five years or so. I think I got my money’s worth.

5.0 out of 5 stars pda? or small computer?

Getting the time to learn more about this pda is my main problem. I am very please with it.There is so much more you can do with it.
I love the wi-fi.Not had a chance to use the bluetooth yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Technology at the time.

This was great technology when it was first made available. Technology has surpased it of course. However, I appreciate not having all my information in my cellphone.

5.0 out of 5 stars PDA’s almost obsolete – Palm TX handheld

PDA’s are almost non-existent. Even though I have an iphone I still wanted a PDA to use. It helps me keep up with business info. I was happy to be able to get this refurbished Palm PDA. Soon they won’t be around any longer. The delivery was fast.
