Why pay for the expensive brand??,By Tan

This mount does the job for me, it mounts my LCD without draining my wallet.
Construction is very sturdy, and if all the wall stud line up, it shouldn’t take more than 15 min. for install.

After having owned two of these, I would never take a glance at the ones sold at Best Buy again.

I wanted an inexpensive mount that would get the job done for my 42″ Panasonic Plasma. I have a newer 42″ LCD which is much lighter than the plasma so I was a little worried the mount might not be strong enough.

After reading reviews I decided to go for it. Only gripe I have is that the screws provided that fit my tv were too short. I took a quick trip to the hardware store and got some that fit. Excellent mount. Seems very secure and looks great. Would definitely recommend this over a higher priced mount.

Amazing what you can find on Amazon, for me, getting this wall mount at this insane a price was a bargain and a half! Only sore spot was that the screwed included were way too long for my Sony Bravia KDL40EX400 40″ LCD TV, didn’t realize this until I over-tightened and had one of the screwing plates fall into the TV itself. One quick trip to Lowe’s and I found the perfect screw and washer combo. And the screwing plate? Got that repaired and taken care of the next day, and the guy even installed the mounting brackets for me.

The mount itself is solid, it took me less than 10 minutes to assemble the thing from start to finish, and once you got the studs found and installed the beast on your wall, it’s not going anywhere! Amazingly the level worked pretty good too, as I believe I have it as even as I can get it. I even used a laser guide to make sure, and I pretty much had it nailed down pat.

It seems to be holding like a champ, I’ve yet to see the thing budge. It was mounting the TV on the wall mount itself that was the pain, but that was my fault due to having the right bottom bracket screw fall out without me realizing it. I took care of that though, and since then, this badboy has held up very, very well. Proof positive that you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to get a good, quality wall mount for your HDTV. Even if the screws might be too long, a quick trip to Lowe’s will take care of that.

Trust me, get this mount and you won’t be disappointed at all.

At first I was skeptical when I saw the price for this wall mount, and the images. How can a good wall mount be so inexpensive? I visited Best Buy and saw their wall mounts ranging from $99-$279, whoa!!! Way to much to spend on a wall mount! I read the reviews and figured, so many buyers cant be wrong. I took a chance and bought one for my new Samsung UN55B8000 LED (55″, 68 lbs).

The mount arrived in just three pieces, the mounting frame (which is drilled to the back of my wall-unit), and the hanging brackets (which I easily installed to the back of my TV set). The frame and bracket are made of quality steel, but not much to look at. Thats OK though, since none of the frame is visable once the TV is mounted. Cheetah provides universal screw sets for all the major TV brands, and they worked just fine on my Samsung. (NOTE: The spacers provided by Cheetah do not fit perfectly on Samsungs, so instead I used the ones provided with my Samsung TV set. Other than that, the rest of the mounting hardware Cheetah provided worked fine.) The only tools I needed was a drill, level, and a 13″ phillips screwdriver.

Total install time took about 30 minutes (from box to mounted TV set). Once everything was installed, the moment of truth came and I mounted my TV to the frame. It hung just like a picture, but I was still nervous on the security of the set falling. It is somewhat difficult to screw-in the locking screws once the set is hanging on the wall, but I purchased a 13″ phillips screwdriver from HD for about $3.00, and it made reaching the screws a snap! That screwdriver was the difference in making installation a long heartache or a smooth project. I reccomend getting one before your set arrives.

With the TV hanging on the frame, and the locking screws firmly tightened, my TV is not going anywhere!! I gave it a few shakes to test its hold and it didnt budge a bit! The tilt degree is very slight, but in my case, I really dont even think it is necessary to use (unless the TV is mounted above normal viewing level and needs to tilt down). BOTTOM LINE, this wall mount works, is very simple to install and use, and secures my TV! I plan on buying two more for the other sets in my house. I deducted one star for provided spacers not fitting, and instructions being a bit vague. Other than that, it worked out great. I will end up buying three of these, for less than the price of one at Best Buy! Go ahead and buy it, you wont be dissapointed!

for the price, you can’t beat this mount. bought 2 of these for spare bedrooms, they assemble super easily, are sturdy, and look great. be sure to use your own level though, the built in ones have a lot of room for error. highly recommend this product, and would DEFINITELY buy again
