I brought Vizio 42 inch with internet 2 months ago from Amazon .Great picture. Sound is good. Menu is very good. apps are great. Only improvement I would suggest is the Remote. The buttons are not easy to navigate. I suggest raised round buttons,which would be much easier to use.

This is a Great TV. I have another Vizio that is a 1080 LCD and the picture on this VIZIO SV422XVT is clearer, brighter, and the features are amazing. If you are looking to get a new TV with todays features be sure to research this one.

Best Picture Quality and Internet Apps integration at a fair price!!,By Amazing Sathu “Amazing Sathu”

Guys…. You would not believe what happened. Next to it there was a Sony 40″ EX501 model ($799) and it was being promoted by a SONY staff in red T-shirt. I was torn between these 2. SO I challenged the Sony sales guy to sell me the Sony. We started doing a feature to feature comparison. Outcome – Vizio exceeded Sony in many. Not to mention Wifi N, Internet apps (Netflix, Vudu, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon Video, Yahoo widgets – News, Finance, Weather, Pandora, Rhapsody). But ultimate aim was picture quality. There was a Blu-Ray playing a movie and both got the same source inputs. We did some adjustments to get the best picture settings. Believe me, the Vizio simply outshone the SONY. The next SONY model that was close or matching Vizio was a $1399 LED backlit model and without any of the Internet features. Ofcourse I was not going to pay $600 more. I did not enforce anything, but simply asked the guy to help me put on the cart the TV he thought was best. Without a word, he loaded the Vizio box on my cart. I earlier had a 32″ ViZio XVT and was very impressed with it. But needed a bigger one for living room. So when I went for shopping, I was not even having Vizion in mind. Bigger models I was thinking should be the realm of SONY, Panasonics, Samsungs etc…but how wrong I was…

After having set-up the TV, the internet apps (which I was sceptical on the ease of integration) are wonderful. Neflix streaming is flawless and you have to see it to believe. Since then I have set-up my Pandora and Rhapsody accounts (For the first time validation, you need to enter a Vizio provided code in your PC).

So for those sitting on fence on this TV or for that matter any other TV of this size or near to it and do not want to spend 600 to 700 more for the LED TVs, this is one of the best out there and certainly the best considering the Internet Apps. As they say you do not know what you missed till you started using it. For example checking weather, I need to bring up the yahoo weather widget and customize for my city. The widget takes only about 1/4th space on the left to display news, weather etc so your favorite program is still viewed on the rest 3/4th of the screen. This is cool, I browse news while kids and the wife watch their shows…Only the Apps that need full screen (Netflix, etc) switch to full screen.

Only wish is for Vizio to add more apps or allow custom additions of widgets (like ESPN, Formula 1 etc)

This TV was the best purchase I’ve made in awhile The picture is AMAZING and the Vizio Internet Apps are really cool. I use it for Netflix over the Wireless N Network and it works PERFECTLY! I hope they have more Apps out soon! Really cool TV!
