5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing But Good News,By James L. Miller “Hanover”

I received this camera a few days ago and I have nothing really bad to say. I will list some of the features that I like and that just okay.

The zoom is a little touchy(fast), but is manageable.

The SD card is a great way to go and easy to use.

Overall operation of the camera is very simple. I received this camera and never had to use the instruction booklet because it was really easy to figure out. Definately a plus.

The still pictures are great and that is enhanced by the ability to take photos and video at the same time is great.

The video can be a little jumpy. You really need a steady hand or a tripod. Even with the stability activated is a little difficult to hold the picture steady. This is really the only down-side I can find on this camera.

The plus-side is of course the cost, the HD video is perfectly brilliant. The colors are perfect and exact. The price of accesories are more than affordable. I added the tripods (table and full size)car charger, extra battery, Camera bag, HDMI cables and a few other things for less than 50 bucks. You really get a lot for close to nothing. You can a spare battery for under 10 dollars.

My battery lasted for at least 2 1/2 hours, whick I think is pretty good, because I was putting it to the test.

Of all the reviews I read nothing is really mentioned about the program that is included with this camera. The program used is Nero and the video files are easy to put onto a regular DVD.

The only thing that they could improve on this camera is the stablilty and a touch screen.

I have never made a purchase where I was completely happy with what I got. This camera I believe is the exception where it really is nearly perfect.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Mighty Mouse of cameras!,By D. Ingram “Soup N Eggroll”

I bought the VPC FH1A Dual camera two weeks ago. My last 2 camcorders were both the size of footballs, so when this tiny little box arrived, I was taken a bit by surprise. The whole camera isn’t much bigger than a twinkie!!

The zoom on this camera is very good for the videocamera function, but not quite as good on the camera function. Several people have commented on the focus, and so far, the only time I have had a problem with the focus has been when taking still shots. The video has problems re-focusing when the zoom is pushed in too fast, but it is all right when you zoom in more slowly. The zoom is NOT too fast if you don’t jam the button over hard. If you press it slightly, the zoom will go in gradually.

The low-light capabilities of this camera totally blew my mind. I took some still shots at a theatrical play, in very poor light (flash photography was not allowed, so I used no flash), and looking at the shots, you can’t tell that the house lights were turned down. I also took some shots in a house with only one table lamp (75 watt bulb, under a lampshade) and those also turned out great. They are not grainy at all. I am very satisfied with the performance of this camera.

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that – so far – I have been completely unable to get it to work with my Compaq Presario. The computer continually asks for a driver. And this product does not require a driver. I don’t know if this is a problem that is generic to Compaqs, or if there is just a problem specific to my machine. The camera works fine with a Dell computer supporting Windows Vista.

All in all, it is a wonderful purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great video camera for travel,By Harold S. Learn
Use this for traveling. Great camcorder for the price. The photos are quite impressive for a camcorder.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Camera for the money,By C. Orlando
Let me preface this by saying I am not a Professional. I do however take pride in my work as a hobbyist. I have had several cameras, and my specialty is dSLR’s and still photography.
I was looking for a decent camera to shoot sports and this is it: 1080p at 60fps is perfect.
Yes the image quality is very good as good as if not better than anything I have seen under 1000.
Low-light is very good, although it has some trouble focusing while zooming in low-light.
Image Stabilizing is pretty good for a camera at this price, obviously its digital.
The camera is fast to turn on and start video/pics.
The camera is very small and portable, I can put it in cargo pants pockets
I love the fact that it is SD card with no hard drive
You can put the pics directly onto a flash drive w/o a computer This is great option to have
HDMI out is awesome as well.
Macro is very good for a camera this price.
I actually have no remorse in buying this camera and would have done it for 200 dollars more as well.
The 240fps is just a cool feature to have.
I use a monopod often, which, coupled with the digital image stabilization, works great.

Highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for anything under 1000.
